Clough Projects Australia and Sea Trucks have entered into a Joint Venture (Clough Sea Trucks Joint Venture, CSJV) which has been awarded by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd with the execution of the Domgas Pipeline Installation Project. The scope of work includes Project Management, Installation Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction activities associated with the installation of the following facilities as described below:
Installation of 20" OD x 59.4km long Offshore Domgas Pipeline from Barrow Island to Mainland, using a combination of conventional pipe lay and shore pull methods;
Installation of 20" OD x 31.6km long Onshore Domgas Pipeline and tie-in to the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP);
Installation of 20" OD riser and tie-in spool at BWI LNG Jetty;
Stabilisation of the pipeline using a combination of trenching and rock bolting methods;
Flooding, cleaning, gauging, pressure testing, drying and nitrogen filling of the entire pipeline as part of pre-commissioning the completed Domgas pipeline.
Execution of the project is forecast for the 2012 campaign.
CSJV has awarded to KT Pipeline the execution of the Onshore Section of the project. The Scope of Work is the transportation of the line pipes and the installation of the 31.6 km onshore pipeline. Execution is forecast to start in April 2012. Due to the above award, some of the packages previously advertised by CSJV might be transferred to KT, who will manage them directly.
