VOJDN, a joint venture between Van Oord Australia Pty Ltd and Jan De Nul Australia Pty Ltd have been awarded a contract by Chevron for Subsea Rock Installation (SRI). This is  required to protect the Gorgon Project pipelines / flow lines and umbilicals routes off the west coast of Barrow Island.

Rock product used in the construction of the protection systems will be supplied to the loadout facility within Dampier Port. The rock will be stockpiled  for loadout and loaded onto vessels using conveyor systems, hopper fed using excavators, front end loaders and dump trucks. The quantity of rock is in the region of 1.5 million tonnes with a project duration of 18 months.
